Product Information

Product Overview

This vinyl 3-in-1 transition molding is color-matched to the Whistler Ridge Glacier Path flooring line, a waterproof rigid-core SPC click-lock plank (about 7" x 48", 5.5mm thick, 20 mil wear layer). Use it where your Whistler Ridge floor meets doorways, other flooring, or open edges for a clean, finished transition.

Length about 94". Sold each (SKU SPC118-TIO). Pair it with the matching Whistler Ridge Glacier Path stair nosing (SPC118-SN) for stairs and landings.

Flooring moldings are essential finishing components that complete a flooring installation. They create smooth transitions, cover expansion gaps, and provide clean edges where flooring meets walls, doorways, stairs, or adjacent surfaces.

At BuildDirect, our moldings are designed as a blended match, meaning they are carefully crafted to complement the color, tone, and finish of your flooring rather than replicate it exactly. Because flooring materials naturally vary in grain, texture, and color, subtle differences between moldings and floor boards are expected and are not considered defects.

To achieve the best visual result, installers may sort flooring boards prior to installation and pre-select boards that will sit next to moldings or transitions. This allows the natural variation in the flooring to work with the molding for a cohesive, high-quality finish.

Some moldings may be produced using different materials or species than the flooring itself. Even so, they are designed to visually complement the flooring as closely as possible while meeting performance and durability requirements.

Most flooring moldings are made to order after purchase. Production time is factored into estimated shipping timelines, and flooring should not be installed until moldings have arrived to ensure proper fit and finish.

The right molding doesn’t just finish a floor - it helps protect the installation, improve longevity, and deliver a polished result that holds up over time.

Finish the Job

A tile order isn't a finished job. Here's everything that goes in the truck with it — in stock at all three Florida stores, and ready to ship.

  1. Grout & caulk

Joints 1/8" and wider need sanded grout. Add matching caulk for inside corners, wall-to-floor joints and transitions.

    Shop Sanded Grout
  2. Thinset & mortar

Set your tile in the right mortar — large-format and porcelain want a modified, medium-bed thinset. Check coverage before you buy.

    Shop Thinset Mortar
  3. Substrate prep

Prep what's underneath — uncoupling membrane, backer board or self-leveler — so the surface under your tile stays flat and stable.

    Shop Uncoupling Membrane
  4. Sealer & care

Seal cement grout once it has cured, and keep a tile-safe cleaner on hand. No acids, no bleach.

    Shop Sealers
  5. Tools

Notched trowel, grout float, buckets, spacers and a leveling system — plus a cutter or wet saw sized to the tile you're setting.
